This is a 5min Cutdown from 20min episode.
A Vice TV series directed by Jenn Shaw and narrated by Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Running While Black is a 3-part series in partnership with adidas that changes the conversation in sports; promoting equality and highlighting runners whose shared identity shapes their daily experiences.
Inspired by the Ahmaud Arbery case, the series explores Black runners in America.
I edited Episode two which consisted of 3 stories. This segment features We Run Brownsville, a Black women's running group that is working to revitalize their Brooklyn community.

Amid the pandemic, masks and all, the iconic show re-emerged to spread more joy. It was great to be a part of the open for another year.

Prolific -"We are Prolific"

Sometimes the stars just align. One of my favorite projects collaborating with the badass women (and men) at Psyop lead by uber talented director Lauren Indovina, produced by Ave Carrillo and music by the incredible Q Department.
Each frame was meticulously crafted. We spent many hours perfecting each frame, playing with pace, rhythm and went back and forth between the artists affecting the footage and the edit many times as the piece came together.
All the women in the film were employees of PSYOP and I was happy to be included included in the piece as well.
The project felt special from its inception and I am grateful I was able to be a part of it.
